Welcome to Blume Akademie! I’m Clara Blume, the founder, director, and passionate teacher and translator. With over a decade of experience in language education, I specialized in teaching the German language, while also offering instruction in English and Spanish. I’ve had the privilege of working with learners of all ages and levels, providing personalized language instruction both in-person and online since 2012. Additionally, I’ve provided personalized language instruction as a freelance teacher since 2012, catering to learners of all ages and proficiency levels. Whether it’s teaching basic language skills to beginners or helping advanced learners refine their language abilities, I’m committed to providing engaging and effective instruction tailored to individual needs and interests. At Blume Akademie, we understand the importance of joy in the learning process. Therefore, we strive to make learning engaging, interactive, and enjoyable. This holistic approach enhances the learning process, making it intuitive and motivational for our students.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Time Based Media from HfbK Hamburg/Universitat de Barcelona, focusing on documentary filmmaking, activism in art, and critical theory. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in German-Spanish Studies from Universität Regensburg/Universidad Complutense Madrid, where I delved into Spanish and German as foreign languages, Spanish post-war cinema, censorship, and international politics.
