Hi, my name is Clara Blume and I am the founder of Blume Akademie.

Growing up between Germany and Spain sparked my passion for languages, cultures, and communication. I’m a bilingual educator with over 10 years of experience teaching children, teens, and adults in diverse educational settings, from primary schools and universities to private lessons and online courses.

My academic background in German-Spanish Studies and Fine Arts helps me bring both structure and creativity into teaching. I believe language learning should be engaging, supportive, and adapted to each learner’s unique path and context, whether the goal is daily life in Germany, academic success, or professional growth.

Over the years, I’ve taught at public schools, at the German School Barcelona, and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Since 2022, I’ve been running my own online language school, offering German as a Foreign Language, preparing students for official exams, tutoring, and translation services.

I also bring two decades of experience as a translator (German, Spanish, English), especially in children’s literature, a field that has deepened my sensitivity to language, tone, and age-appropriate communication.

Now based in Berlin, I continue to offer flexible, personalized lessons for learners of all ages and levels. My mission is to make language learning not only effective, but also enjoyable and confidence-building.
